Book Sales

Help Us Raise Money by Buying Books

The friends of Mt. Pleasant Library have various ways of raising funds from book sales.

.Special Note:  Because our bargain basement sales have been a success and afford our customers more dates and times for shopping, we no longer have one annual book sale.

We Now have Three Ways to Offer Our Books for Sale for Sale : Bargain basement Sales , Friends Annual Yard Sale (formerly Sidewalk Sales), and our In-house Book Sales featuring specials every month (see below**).

Our Annual Yard Sale includes flea market items of all sorts, wonderful plant sales (these go very fast!), and great prices on paperbacks of all genres. This sale also draws passersby who otherwise might not visit the library or know that we have books to sell inside.

**Friends In-House Book Sale       Here in a section next to the circulation desk you will find books in all genres, available for sale whenever the library is open. Subjects vary from month to month, and include seasonal and holiday sections as well. Adult hardcovers are priced at $1, and paperbacks at $.50 each or three for $1.00. Childrens books are $.25 each. Book condition varies from like-new to gently used. Childrens books also include those previously held by the library, but no longer in circulation. We sometimes offer used books on tape and DVDs, as well as CDs .
