HELP US RAISE MONEY BY BUYING BOOKS
The friends of Mt. Pleasant Library have various ways of raising funds from book sales.
FRIENDS IN-HOUSE BOOK SALE Here in a section next to the circulation desk you will find books in all genres, available for sale whenever the library is open. Subjects vary from month to month, and include seasonal and holiday sections as well. Adult hardcovers are priced at $1, and paperbacks at $.50 each or three for $1.00. Childrens books are $.25 each. Book condition varies from like-new to gently used. Childrens books also include those previously held by the library, but no longer in circulation. We sometimes offer used books on tape and DVDs, as well as CDs and VHS tapes.
Each month you will find a Special Deal on certain subjects in the Friends’ book sale area.. All books, both paperback and hardcover, on that month’s subject will be .25c per book. Stock up on books and save, save!

ANNUAL BOOK SALE: Each year we have an annual book sale with all genres available and at very affordable prices. We also have smaller sales at various times during the year, often in combination with library events.
SIDEWALK SALES If we have the time and good weather is predicted, we may hold a sidewalk sale. This often draws passersby who otherwise might not visit the library or know that we have books to sell inside. This year’s summer sale attracted many neighbors and newcomers who enjoyed browsing our selection.
